why must people do something as shitty as key someones car? my weekend was going nicely till I found out about this

also extended to the rear quarter and they have taken a chip out of the front arch.

pointless going through insurance to get resolved as it'll cost me more in the long run, really could've done without this expense so close to christmas

I had a less than stable girlfriend once. About a week after we broke up there was a scratch down the side of my car from headlight to tail light. It wasn't very deep so some buffing made it almost invisible.

That sucks, I know how you feel. Someone keyed my car, a civic of all things, for no apparent reason around this time last year. I was quoted $537 to get it fixed, and guess who has a $500 deductible... Good luck getting it sorted out and I hope the scumbag that did this gets theirs

I once clipped someones car while parking and went door to door for over an hour to find the owner so I could beg forgiveness and make them whole.

If you damage another persons car, intentionally or not, you are scum to me.

P.S. have you tried TCut? It can work miracles for blending scratches sometimes.

That burns me up... Somebody keyed my car once after I took a parking place he felt he was entitled to. I was able to buff it out more or less, but some was too deep. Hard to tell from the pic, but you may be able to do the same. There are some good Drive Clean videos on YouTube with tips on polishing scratches out.

I've not attempted to fix this myself as I know I'd do a poor job, last time I tried a t cut formula on my previous blue car I made things look worse. going to see someone who has experience to get it done right

That sucks! If you don't go the insurance route, you might be able to wet-sand and three-stage the majority of it, and touch up what's left. Or if you have more time, touch up first, wait for it to cure, then sand, then buff.
